Got to see Alyssa today!! She was our former school mate, but after a year, her family moved to Manila; so she also transferred to a new school. The funny thing is: we weren’t really close when she was still studying on our school. We just became close through twitter &common friends, if memory serves right. How my day went:
All in all, it was a really fun day plus I finally saw Alyssa after a year!! Chocolates from my favorite value dollar store in SG!!

Our group has been very close to the kids at the orphanage since last year. Tho we haven’t fulfilled our promise to them that we’ll visit every month due to our busy schedule at school, we always try our best to visit once in a while. They’re really sweet, cute, jolly & funny. The kids have different stories and we’re so blessed to really hear it from them the first time we went there. Yesterday, we planned to go at the orphanage since the last time we visited was 2 months ago. Janeen text-ed us the call time & meeting place: 1130 am - McDo Olivarez. Unfortunately, Dale, Drake, Billy, Lee, Darwin/Charles (Lee’s cousin) & I waited at McDo Olivarez for 3 hours!!!
We got to the orphanage via tricycle at 0230 in the afternoon, I think. We waited for a sister to welcome us.. but unfortunately, there was none. So we went to the kid’s place on our own. We thought that there were no kids at the orphanage because it was really really quiet but when we saw a sister at the kid’s place, she told us that the kids are still sleeping.
To that, we stayed at the playground for a while and waited for the kids to wake up. After a while, the kids were already there, ready to play!! We were confused why there were no 8-12-year-old kids but only toddlers aged 0-7 then the kids told us that their Kuya’s & Ate’s went somewhere (I guess they played basketball) So we just spend our time with the little kids.
See? They’re really cute & playful. After getting really tired, we decided to leave the place at 0400 pm and went straight to Bea’s place.
*Insert Mika here* Mind you, we walked from the Augustinian Sisters to Yap’s residence. It was really tiring but really really fun. Nothing can stop us from walking except… “Picture, guys!!!”
*The view from Bea’s house* We were really really tired, so when we got there, we rested & connected to their wi-fi (their wi-fi has no password it’s so funny haha). Tita Maan was really really sweet & thoughtful that she made sushi and nutella bread for us!! When we were at their dining table, I found myself half dazed. Jean asked what was wrong then I told her, “Mukha na pala talaga tayong family no, haha.” Tho we had no picture while we were eating at the dining table, I would never forget that.
Polaroid shots from the orphanage. After eating, we stayed at their garden/terrace/whatever-you-call-it place. I actually forgot why we were laughing so hard the whole time (I think it’s because of Renzo or Lee or Billy)
Thank you for Darwin/Charles for taking this picture!! At 0600 pm, we left Yap’s residence. We walked from their house to the main road. It was 5-7 times longer than our walk from Augustinian Sisters to Bea’s house!!! When we got to Olivarez, we decided to have dinner at KFC. We also ran into our AP teacher, he asked us why we’re there. We told him that we’re about to go home and that we also visited an orphanage (I guess he didn’t believe us haha lol) When we’re at the KFC, there were no more pictures because we were really really tired and looked so haggard. Thank you, AJPM! I never thought that we’d be “this” close. Thank you for being my second family. Thank you for giving me the best HS life. Thank you for making me laugh every single time. Sometimes, I can’t even imagine how my life would be if I did not meet you guys. (c) Mika Banaag Spend the whole day at Manila. Mother left me at the mall because she had a lot of work to do at the office that time. Yep, all alone until dinner. Mom won’t let me watch a movie at the cinema because of no-it-is-not-safe issues and all. What did I do? Eat, walk, shoot, eat, walk, shoot, eat walk, shoot *repeat then fades* 1. It would be unfair If I’d leave this photo without any caption just because I could not think of anything good/bad to say about this one. Yep, this is what you/I call “random shot” 2. Because it’s violet & it’s really cool. 3. Stayed at the Coffee Bean for hours because I somehow got tired of walking. The baristas were pretty cool & friendly. And I really loved their vanilla latte!! :-) 4. Re-read Looking For Alaska. I consider Looking for Alaska as one of my favorite books because it will always be the odd one. What the book gave me is not what I want, really. But I learned a lot through it. I can compare John Green’s work to life, I guess. You let it go, you accept it, you move on, you keep on pursuing/achieving/dreaming. Because at the end of everything, it’s all worth the tears & sacrifice. 5. The design of the place reminds me of Genting Highlands (probably because Genting is also Resorts World right lol) Had the best weekend there and I really miss it. If memory serves right, that’s also the last time I saw Jal (my brother) cry. 6. My first bokeh shot! 7. Loved the place at night time. Tho there were so many people last night because of a show. 8. Went to my mother’s office so I can have dinner with her! I thought we’ll be eating at McDonald’s but she brought me to a nice place called “The Red Crab” 9. Dinner’s worth the allergies/scratch
Hello, May 1st. The 1st day of the month is a legit holiday but it is just that Brain Train still pushes through classes even if it’s a holiday. That is why I spent my day studying subject-verb agreement down to effervescence, combustion + many more!! So yeah, I have the most amazing and funny teachers from UP-LB. I love them!! Tho I had no friends in class - but I promised myself that the review will end with new friends - I am really enjoying review and all. My brother picked me up after my review class.. believe it or not, he’s been my official driver since the review class started. When I got home, I had the chance to witness the first sunset of the month. And yep, I loved it.
Milkis has been my comfort drink since January!! Whenever I feel stressed out because of school-works/org-works/pressure, I’d always have this to eschew myself from stress. Can’t believe that it still works during summer!!!
Starbucks Planner. Yep, it’s already the fifth month of the year but my planner is still updated!! Can I say that I’m just proud of myself? I’ve never done anything like this before so it’s one hella big achievement for me!!
Safe and Sound. I had no idea that we have a cat and a kitten sleeping/staying in our garage. I find the mother cat really scary but the kitten really cute. I named the kitten “Light” for formality issues lol
The first month of my summer was really great.. looking forward for more adventures this May!! :-) 1. Phone - partner in crime!! well spent afternoon with my grandparents & cousins + overlays
Having a great summer, baby!! 1. Favorite cookie. Thank you, mother!! 2. Cravings, satisfied!! 3. Oh c’mon, who wouldn’t love Ed Sheeran? Had a really productive week. Cause I actually spend all the the money that is left in my jar/vacation money… so yes, I’m officially broke!! Well, my mother actually considered a summer allowance tho it’s only 30 percent of my school allowance. Where could that even get me.. but no, that’s actually fine compared to none, right? So yeah, this is my summer vacation, baby!!!!! Maaaan, I’m really broke I can’t even buy an instax film even if I found a cheaper one last time I went to a mall. Huhu bye |
